Hello My Sweet 'n Sassy Friends!

It's Susie here to share a card made with a few of my favorite sets.  The saying is from the new Inspirational Word Art 2 clear stamp set.
Here's a look at the whole set:

The flowers are from the Scribble Flowers clear stamp set.  You already know it's my all time favorite stamp set in the whole wide world!

What can you make with just two sets?  We would love to see!

smile

Good morning!

Today I am sharing this card using the Capture This Moment stamp set.  This set is from the SNSS Bible Journaling line of stamps but can also be used for card making and scrapbooking!

I used the camera and smile sentiment on the front so it can be used for several occasions.  I might stamp "It's your birthday!" from Companion Words or "It's Party Time" from Birthday Bash.  I could even pick a sentiment from Sassy Cindy.  ;)  Whatever I choose, I hope the card brings a smile.

Thanks for popping in and… happy stamping!
Diane

Inspirational Word Art 2

Hello! It's Monika here today with a circle card... and not just any circle card, a SHAKER circle card. You must have figured out by now that I love making shaker cards. At first, it might seem time consuming and difficult, but it actually can go really fast especially if you are using one focal image and you keep it simple as I did this time around (earlier this month I made a much fancier shaker card) :

The greeting (Inspirational Word Art 2 clear stamp set) was stamped with VersaMark then was heat embossed with white embossing powder.
I did have the background already laying on my desk, so that was really fortunate, but you could just use a pretty designer paper. I was trying to make a Northern Lights Background a while ago, but it turned out a mess... so I put it aside... then yesterday I was looking for a dark background that would work as a starry night, and picked up the blotched piece... spritzed it with Mica Spray to add some shine and I had a night sky! It is really hard to see on the picture, but it has some violet and green areas...

I added tiny gold, silver and iridescent stars along with micro beads inside my shaker.
These are the products you'd need to make this shaker card:

*Circle Scallop Die
*Circle Dies
*Window Sheet
*Star Sequins
*Micro Beads
*White Embossing Powder
*Dimensional Tape or Fun Foam
*Inspirational Word Art 2 clear stamp set
*VersaMark
*Tim Holtz Tarnished Pewter Mica Spray
*Background Paper
*Silver Glimmer Paper
*Silver Rhinestones
*Silver Thread

Here are some of my previously made shaker cards:

Thank you for stopping by,
Monika

Music Speaks

Hello crafty friends! Welcome to today's project, featuring two beautiful sets, Music to my Ears (a fantastic background set!) and Scribble Flowers

Here are the steps that I took to create my 5" x 5" card...
  1. Using VersaMark and black embossing powder, stamp the music background stamp on a piece of 5" x 5" cardstock. (I used Neenah solar white) Be sure to keep the image towards the center as you'll only see the image through the circle cut out.
  2. Using Distress Inks, smoosh some ink out on a non-stick craft sheet, and a water coloring brush add color to the background. The embossed areas will resist the inks. Since I wasn't using water color cardstock, I just dropped the ink on to the cardstock and let it spread on its own, which preventing the paper from peeling. Set aside to dry.
  3. Using Memento Ink, stamp various images from the Scribble Flowers stamp set on to a piece of scrap cardstock, color with Copics, fussy cut.
  4. Using a Spellbinders circle die, cut a large circle out of a piece of 4.75" x 4.75" cardstock, use foam tape to attach to the cardbase.
  5. Using a Spellbinders scalloped circle die, with a smaller circle die nested inside the scallop circle, cut a frame out of black cardstock, attach around circle opening.
  6. Stamp sentiment on piece of white cardstock, cut out with ribbon cut on one end.
  7. Attach sentiment, flowers, and bee using foam tape.
  8. Use Glossy Accents and Wink of Steller glitter pen to add some sparkle and shine, see up close photo below.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed the project! Be sure to check out the Sweet 'n Sassy web site for the two sets used on my card (there is also a new die that coordinates with the Scribble Flowers set!)!

Happy Crafting!

How Tweet It Is!

Hello Everyone!

I hope you are all enjoying your fall!  I think we have finally left summer behind here in St Louis.
I took a break from fall cards and Christmas cards to make this super CAS card using the new How Tweet Stamp Set.  I'm guessing we have all been here at one time or another!  :)

I couldn't help myself!  The sentiment, which is from the LOL Cats Stamp Set was perfect for what I was going for!
I free handed the wire, colored the image with Copics and then masked the bird to sponge in the sky.

Super simple!  I hope I have inspired you to look at your stamps in a different way!
Happy Crafting!

May God Grant You Peace & Strength

Hi Sweet Friends!

Happy Sunday! Julie, here sharing a Clean and Simple card with Peace of God Clear Stamp Set from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps.

I love all of the image, sentiments and verses in the SNSS Peace of God Clear Stamp Set!  My husband and I feed the birds and the Tufted Titmouse is one of our favorites (we affectionately refer to them as "Tufty" or "Tufties").

This set makes me smile when I create with it as I recall the fun memories of "bird watching" with my sweetheart- we truly have such an Awesome Creator God!!

I started off by stamping the SNSS Peace of God "Tufty" image with archival black ink onto white cardstock,  used a water brush  to color the image with distress inks , die cut with a stitched circle die and mounted onto another stitched circle die cut from cherry cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock with archival black ink before scoring a few lines for texture and mounting the entire panel onto the cherry card base.

To finish off the card, I added the focal image with dimensional foam.  Quick, easy and a delight to create!

Thanks for stopping by- I hope all of you have a fabulous week!

Dashing Through the Snow

Happy Wednesday!
It's Ceal, here to share a card with you today. I am still working on my Christmas cards as there is only 67 days until Christmas, can you believe it??
My card uses one of our new Christmas releases, Holiday Hugs. This is the sweetest set and I love all the images but this little penguin is such a cutie!
I also used the Hillside Edges die set for the snow covered hill and trees.

To find out all the details on how I made this card, head over to my blog Simply Beautiful.

How Tweet!

Hello everyone! You just can't miss this stamp set ;). We've already featured it a couple of times the last days but it's sooo cute... I couldn't resist sharing another card with this little bird.

I stamped the image on watercolor paper and used watercolor brushes to color it. After the coloring I die-cut it with a circle die and adhered it on my card. And of course I couldn't resist using a beautiful yellow base color for this card. I don't use a lot of yellow but with this bird it's just a great combination. And a great way to use my yellow papers, which are actually really pretty on a card. (maybe this stamp sets helps me to love to use yellow again ;)). I made a little tag with the sentiment and added it to the red ribbon. And, of course, a couple of sequins couldn't be missing on my card.

how tweet

Good morning!

Today I am sharing two cards using the How Tweet stamp set from this month’s release.
For the first card, I used the little bird to create a whimsical thank-you card.

I die cut the center from the polka-dotted layer and it was popped with foam tape to create a frame.  Some fussy-cut clouds were attached at the top.

For the second card, I also used the Hillside Edges dies.

This time I colored the bird with yellow and pink. Since I had some pink in my background paper too, I went ahead and also made pink-ish clouds.  Why not?  The bird and clouds are popped up with foam dots.

Thanks for popping in and… happy stamping!

Diane

How Tweet It Is!

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy Friends!  It's Friday and that means it is time for another new stamp set to be featured, and what an adorable set we have for you today!  How Tweet includes six images and seven sentiments that can be used for many different occasions.  This stamp set will just make your heart happy!

Now, isn't that little birdie as cute as can be?  The blue panels were made with distress inks on mixed media paper and the designer paper is from Bo Bunny.  Copic Markers were used for the coloring of the images and the Freshly Made Sketch for this week was used for the design.  The branch is from the Love Birds stamp set and was cut with the matching Love Birds Die.

Have you seen the new Inspirational Word Art 2 stamp set that was showcased last week?

This sentiment is one of six in the set and inspired the background for this card which was done  by sponging VersaMark ink through a star stencil and white embossing the stars.  Color Burst pigment powders were sprinkled on the mixed media paper over the stars and spritzed with water.  The design for this card came from the Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge for this week.

The products used to create these cards are available at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store.

The Love Birds stamp set and Love Birds Dies are available separately or as a Bundle.

Be sure to stop by the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Facebook page to see more amazing samples of these two sets made by the Creative Team then head on over to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store to pick up either of these two fabulous stamp sets!

Have a "TWEET" day!

Getting Out of My Comfort Zone

Hello Everyone!

Comfort zones are, well, comfortable!  But, they are not always where God wants us. I have been sensing that God wants me to make a move in a new direction, but what that is, even what area of my life it is in is still a mystery to me.
In crafting, I have been at a bit of a stale mate.  But even there, I needed to get out of my comfort zone.  So when I saw this sentiment in the new Inspirational Word Art 2 Stamp Set, I could not wait to use it.

Techniques.  They can make quite an impact on a card.  I had not done a lot of background techniques for a while and decided that I needed to shake things up a bit.  This background is made with a stencil over mixed media paper and watercolor powders- both Colorburst and Brushos.
Add to that that fabulous sentiment and a silhouette bird image from the His Wings Stamp Set and you can pretty much call it done!
I hope I have inspired you to get crafty! Off to make more backgrounds!

Inspirational Word Art 2 Shaker

Hello! It's Monika here today with a shaker card. I used  one of the images from the newly released Inspirational Word Art 2 clear stamp set as my focal point.

I sponged the background with yellow and orange distress inks using a stencil to add a touch of color. It was the perfect backdrop for the bold word art stamp.
The shaker is filled with pretty sequins and micro beads.

The outside is decorated with flowers from Scribble Flowers clear stamp set. The images were stamped on water color paper, then colored with distress inks. While I did not use it, there is a coordinating die set available.
I also used some pretty butterflies from Majestic Monarch clear stamp sets. They were stamped on vellum with VersaMark, heat embossed with white embossing powder, then die-cut with the coordinating Monarch die set.
To add a touch of sparkle, I die-cut a circle frame out of glitter paper... I also added gold rhinestones.

Thanks for stopping by,
Monika

JOY

Hi there, Sweet 'n Sassy Friends!
It's Ceal, here to share a card with you today. I have had this card made for a while and I kept putting this one off and showing some cards made with our 2016 Christmas release. With only 80 days until Christmas, if you're like me you are full steam ahead on making your Christmas cards to send out. This card features two different sets Joy to the World and We Three Kings and although they are not new, they are two of my favorites.
To make my card I started with a top folding A2 card base in Crumb Cake. I used a page out of an old hymnal for my background and then stamped the images on it. The Joy is stamped with Versafine black onyx ink and watercolored in and the three kings silhouette is stamped in Crumb Cake. I love these two sets together I think they compliment each other well.

Autumn is a Mosaic of Them All

Hello Sweet Friends!  Julie here to share a card inspired by the autumn colors that are bursting forth here in the Northeastern United States.

I just love fall with all of the gorgeous colors, the crispness of the air, the apple harvests as well as the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday leading into Christmas!  God's Glorious Creation painting a splendor for all to see- what a wonderful time of year!

I decided to try to capture some of the deep red colors in this Mixed Media card using Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps Autumn Mum Greetings Clear Stamp Set along with the SNSS Doily Border Dies.

To create this card:

I inked the large mum image from SNSS Autumn Mum Greetings with a cherry dye based ink, stamped repeatedly over a piece of cream colored cardstock, distressed the edges, and stamp the sentiment from SNSS Autumn Mum Greetings with archival black ink.

Add the stamped panel along with a piece of designer paper with a sewing machine using a zig zag stitch.

I added the die cut SNSS Doily Border (aged a bit with distress ink) along with cherry grosgrain ribbon and pearls before adhering the entire panel onto the dark brown card base.

Stamp the large and small mum images from SNSS Autumn Mum Greetings with archival black ink, heat set the ink and water-colored the flowers with a water brush with ink from rust and cherry markers for the flowers as well as various green markers for the leaves.

After fussy cutting the flower images, I used a clear glitter pen to add shimmer to the blossoms as well as the stamped background before adding the flowers to the card front using dimensional foam and finished off the card with pearls.

Thanks again for stopping by- hugs and have a fabulous week, sweet friends!
