Merry Christmas!

All of us at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps want to wish all of you a very
Merry Christmas!

Cathy here and I have one more Christmas card to share using some of the wonderful new silhouette stamps that will officially be released in January, but are available now for pre-order at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store.

The snowdrifts were masked and the sky sponged with distress Inks, spritzed with water, sprayed with Perfect Pearls for shimmer, and splattered with white acrylic paint.  The snowdrifts were also sponged with the same Distress inks as the sky.  The deer and tree were added with the help of my Misti Tool.  The panel was cut with a Spellbinder square die and then cut into fourths.  Each piece was then matted with an offset piece of black card stock and adhered to a white card front.  I wanted this to be a Christmas card, so I pulled out a Christmas sentiment, but this card could very easily be for any occasion depending upon the sentiment chosen.

The best part is that the Scene Silhouettes: Woodland Stamp Set is free with your $60 pre-order through December 31st.

The other stamp sets used to make this card include Scene Silhouettes: Trees and Poinsettias & Candles.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

May the blessings of Christmas bring you peace, love, and joy today and throughout the New Year!

Hugs,
Cathy

A Tree for The Seasons?

For today, I used the new Scene Silhouette Trees to create two cards...one with a fall and one with a winter tree. For the sentiment, I used the Thoughtful Words set.

I am working on summer and spring next. I just need to change up the colors of the leaves and voila! How versatile is this set?! And I LOVE these sentiments - they are so special and relevant!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a day!

Scene Silhouette: Woodlands - Thank You

Hello Everyone!  Are you ready for the holidays?  I'm still running around trying to get everything ready but I thought I would share a Thank You card featuring the NEW Scene Silhouette: Woodlands stamp set.  This Set is FREE with a $60 order in the month of December.  The sentiment I used is from the Kindness Matters stamp set.  I came up with a festive looking design perfect to thank someone for their generosity during the holiday season along with being able to wish them a Happy New Year!

It was super simple to put together and looks like you spent hours creating it.  I used paper scraps for the designer paper and gold mirror scalloped edge.  I tied ribbon around the popped up background and then I embossed the deer and sentiment.  Fancy touches....right?  But trust me this is one that can be massed produced and changed up depending on how many layers you would like to use.  The card measures 4 1/4" x 4 1/4".

Looking for a more masculine version...here's a card that I shared early in the week using the same stamp sets.  You get a totally different look by just changing up the colors.  The strips of gingham is actually washi tape that I found in Target's $ Spot...totally kicking myself for not buying more.

Don't forget that the Scene Silhouettes: Woodland is the December 2017 Stamp of the Month and is FREE with a $60 order through 12/31/17.

Happy Holidays!

Hi there Sweet 'n Sassy Stampers!
It's Ceal here to share a card using one of our Christmas sets, Christmas Pine along with our Stamp of the Month set you can earn free with a $60 purchase, Serene Silhouettes: Woodland

To make my card I started with a Smoky Slate top folding card base and a piece of patterned paper by Echo Park. I love this buffalo plaid with the bear!
I stamped the bear from the Serene Silhouettes: Woodland set with Versamark ink and embossed him in black, next I stamped the pine branches from the Christmas Pine set also with Versamark and embossed them in white.
tp finish the card I also added the sentiment embossed in white.

Scene Silhouettes- Hope You Feel Better Soon

Hello Sweet Friends!  Julie here and today I am sharing a fun winter card using the December Stamp of the Month- Scene Silhouettes:Woodland (free with any $60 order in the month of December) along with the Scene Silhouettes:Trees and Thoughtful Words!!

I love the silhouettes in the new December release stamp sets- perfect for all types of occasions as well as masculine cards!

This card was fairly simple to create- first, I cut a few masks from scrap paper for the snow banks and punched out a circle for the moon.

Using the masks to cover the snow area, I blended distress oxide inks for the sky and shadows on the snow, then re-masked the hills before stamping the silhouette tree images from Scene Silhouettes:Trees  with an archival black ink and heat setting with clear embossing powder.

I repeated the process for the deer image from Scene Silhouettes:Woodland before matting all onto black cardstock and adding the heat embossed sentiment from Thoughtful Words along with a bit of shimmer on the snow banks with a clear glitter pen.

Quick and easy- just change the sentiment and you could have a quick Christmas card, birthday, anniversary, etc.

I had so much fun creating this snowy scene and hope I have inspired you today! Thanks for taking the time to visit us- hugs and God Bless, sweet friends!

Merry Christmas - Botanicals

Hello everyone! I'm still working on my Christmas cards, I hope I'll finish before Christmas haha. I wanted to try some coloring on dark cardstock for a while and I thought the Christmas Botanicals were a perfect fit for this technique.
I stamped the flower and sentiment on black paper with embossing ink. I embossed it with gold embossing powder. This made it easier to color and I love the golden details on a Christmas card. I used Derwent Coloursoft pencils to color the image. I used two reds and two greens, that's all.
I added a red border behind the black cardstock to give the card a brighter look and feel. I used black patterned paper for the background and adhered everything together. I added a couple of sequins to finish the card.

Warmest Wishes

{jane bosi}  Greetings, Friends!  I'm popping in to wish you and yours the warmest of Christmas wishes!

I created this simple water color card using Christmas Topiaries and Christmas Wishes stamp sets.  I've also used the tried and true masking technique to layer the trees together in this little trio.  Simple and sweet--just like I hope your holidays are.

Merry Christmas!  Jane

Christmas Pine

Good morning!
Today I am sharing a CAS Christmas card using the Christmas Pine stamp set.

This really was pretty quick & easy to create...in fact, I made 4 in a short time for my holiday cards. I stamped the pinecone first and masked it before stamping the branches. The background was lightly sponged over a stencil. Instead of coloring the pinecone, I simply sponged on a bit of brown and added a little Stickles for some sparkle.

Have a great day!
Diane

Blocks!

Today's cards use the block technique which I thought went perfectly with the new mini sets at Sweet N Sassy Stamps. I used Distress Inks and my acrylic block to create multi-colored block backgrounds. Then I white heat embossed the images.

It was too fun to make just one so I made a set! You're gonna want to try it!!

Joy to you this Christmas

Hello Everyone!  Today, I have a beautiful poinsettia card to share with you featuring the Poinsettia & Candles stamp set.  I went with a very traditional colors and added a touch of gold for that added sparkle.  I randomly stamped the images to create my own background paper and colored the images with copic markers.

And here's another version I previously created in pink...I also love using nontraditional colors!

Dashing Through the Snow

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy Stampers!
It's Ceal, here to share a Christmas card using the super cute set, Holiday Hugs.
To create my card I started with a top folding note card and a piece of copy paper that I cut to make a mask for the snow. To make the snow drifts I used Broken China distress ink and a sponge.
I stamped the image on the card front and also on a scrap piece of card stock and colored it with Copic markers and then fussy cut it out and placed it on top of the stamped image.

To finish the card I added the greeting plus a little shimmer (hard to see in the picture) on his hat.

Snuggly Winter Wishes

Hello friends!  Can you believe that there are only two days remaining this month and that means the end of the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps 10th Birthday Celebration is coming to an end as well.  We have two more popular stamp sets to give away and then the drawing of the grand prize....a free stamp set of the winner's choice each month for an entire year...that's 12 free stamp sets!

My sample today features one of the sets we are giving away this week...For the Birds.

Two of the adorable birds from the For the Birds stamp set were colored with Copic Markers to look like a cardinal and a bluebird.  A Splash Watercolor Background using Oxide inks was created on the circle behind the birds.  Snowdrifts were sponged on the card front and the panel embossed with a Texture Fade embossing folder.  A faux wood strip created by applying Oxide inks directly to the paper was added to the right side of the card.   The sentiment was embossed and a few sequins added to finish the card.  Today's sketch from Splitcoaststampers was used for the design of the card.

Be sure to check out the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store to find out how you can win the

Warm Winter Hugs

Hello Sweet Friends!  Julie here and today I am sharing a fun winter card with the For the Birds Clear Stamp Set (designed by Korin Sutherland).

This cute stamp set has three different bird images along with the branch and several fun sentiments- it is adorable and perfect for those special winter cards!

To create this card, use a sponge dauber to apply Broken China Distress Oxide Ink to a piece of 4 ¼” x 5 ½” white cardstock and blend in Picked Raspberry Distress Ink towards the top. FYI- I cut a piece of scrap cardstock to use as a mask at the bottom of the panel to create the snow drifts :-)

Once you are satisfied with the blending of the ink, spritz a bit of water to activate the oxide ink and create the illusion of snow.

Stamp the sentiment in the corner with archival black ink, emboss with clear embossing powder and once the powder has cooled, die cut with a rectangle stitched die before mounting onto the embossed white card front.

Stamp the bird and branch images with an archival black ink and emboss with clear embossing powder.  Once the embossing has cooled, watercolor with water-based markers and cut out the images.

Use dimensional foam to mount the birds as well as the branch. Add a bit of shimmer to the snow with a clear glitter pen and a few snowflakes with the Sharpie® Extra Fine Paint Pen.

I had fun creating this cute snowy scene and am so thankful that you took the time to visit us- hugs and God Bless, sweet friends!

Christmas Botanicals

Hello everyone! The time to prepare for Christmas started ;). So today I'll share this card for Christmas.

When I saw the Christmas Botanicals stamp set I knew I wanted to make a wreath with the flowers and leaves. So that's what I did for this card. Well, a wreath... it's not completely round but I wanted to have the message on my circle diecut too so I just worked around the 'Merry Christmas' sentiment.
To start this card I just drew a circle on some watercolor paper. That way I had a guide for my stamps. I started with the sentiment and stamped everything else around it. I erased the lines from the circle and diecut the panel out of the watercolor paper.
I colored the images with watercolor markers and a waterbrush. I used dark red/purple cardstock with a metallic glow on it. I adhered the diecut panel with foamtape so the wood veneer elements could go behind it. I added a couple of sequins and a white ribbon to finish the card.

I used the stamp set 'Christmas Botanicals' for this card.

Have a nice day!
